What most people think of when you mention NASCAR; a sleek, streamlined Chevrolet Monte Carlo. This style of stock car stuck around for nearly twenty years and was the basis for the vanilla content in NASCAR Racing 2003 Season. The default Papyrus models for a Monte Carlo, Taurus, Intrepid, and Grand Prix were used liberally throughout Busch, Hooters Pro Cup, and ARCA mods early in the game’s lifespan, though in recent years modders began to experiment with purpose-built mods to replicate the more intricate nuances of late 90’s or mid 2000’s season designs. And when NASCAR began making their cars bulkier with the introduction of the Car of Tomorrow in 2007, Canadians opted to remain stuck in the 90’s, with the NASCAR Pinty’s Series offering Generation 4-style takes on the Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet Impala, and Ford Fusion.

There are two seperate downloads; one for Cup series mods, and one for “touring” series such as ARCA, Busch, Nationwide, and Pinty’s. New for the Encyclopedia’s 2020 update are mods that bring legacy car models from NASCAR Racing 4 and NASCAR Racing 2002 Season into NR2003, allowing us to access almost 20 new carsets that were once relegated to the depths of NNRacing.
