This is a section I’m reluctant to expand upon, as NR2003’s physics weren’t really designed to emulate the behavior of stock cars from 40, almost 50 years ago. While mods indeed exist to emulate short track racing of the mid 1950’s, I have had no personal interest in driving a ’55 Chevrolet Bel-Air that has the specifications of a 2003 Toyota Tundra as prepared by TRD. As a result I’ve opted to include just a handful of seasons in which the infamous Dodge Charger Daytona/Plymouth Superbird competed (the truck physics generally replicate proper horsepower/downforce values/lap times of the era), as well as NASCAR’s answer to the SCCA Trans-Am series, dubbed “Grand American”, which could be considered a precursor to the modern-day Xfinity tour.
